Peter Clements
Peter joined the RAAF in 1973 as an apprentice engine fitter and was then accepted on RAAF Pilots Course in 1981. After graduating he flew Iroquois Helicopters before completing Flying Instructors Course in 1986. He remained at East Sale instructing on PC9s and CT4s, as well as flying with the Roulettes for 2 years. After a posting to 34 Squadron he flew the Falcon 900 VIP aircraft. He resigned from the RAAF and joined Ansett Airlines.
On Ansett’s demise he rejoined the RAAF as a Flight Commander at Central Flying School, East Sale.
Peter is currently a Captain with Jet Star operating Airbus A320 aircraft.
Peter has many years of warbird flying, including instructing on Chipmunk Auster, Winjeel, Harvard, Fokker Triplane, T28 Trojan, Vampire and of course the mighty Mustang.
He also helped establish and still flies with the Southern Knight Formation Aerobatic Team.
Peter is active on RAAF Reserve for the RAAF Museum at Pt Cook.
